Architect Required for A Dubai Firm
We are looking for an architect with Archicad Experience in Dubai. The Architect must be able to develop and/or create building designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments. They employ specialist design and construction knowledge combined with high level drawing skills to develop building plans that incorporate functionality, safety and cutting-edge design. They operate as part of a project team working closely with a range of professionals from quantity surveyors to building services engineers.
Typical work responsibilities
Developing/Creating building designs and highly detailed drawings using BIM/CAD/Sketch-up and or Rendering applications.
Working closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors and architectural technologists.
Preparing final detailed design documents and applying for building permits with various authorities including but not limited to DM, Trakhees, DEWA, DCD, etc.
Determining the materials to be used and specifying the requirements for the project.
Making sure the project is running according to schedule and budget.
Playing a part in project and team management.
Traveling to building sites, proposed locations and client meetings.
Skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Willingness to work under time and budget pressure.
Excellent design and drafting skills and proficiency with BIM.
A keen eye for the detail of specific tasks, combined with an understanding of how such specifics fit in with the project as a whole.
Organizational, project management and planning skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving ability.
Leadership skills as well as the ability to work well within a team of other professionals.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience with minimum 4 years in Dubai, UAE
Excellent knowledge and proficient use of BIM.
Experience with Local Authority submission.
